We referenced forgotten elements of Miami and placed them within the context of Solefly’s second retail shop, blending Art Deco detailing with modern industrial materials and a worn-in feel. The design language draws from Doral’s history with the aviation industry, imagining the store as a kind of departure point for a trip through Miami and the things you take with you when you leave. 

Fixtures are arranged with a sense of “skateability,” creating changes in height, depth and movement that naturally guide customers through the space. Industrial materials reference airplane warehouses and Doral’s history, while Art Deco details, pops of color and sun-washed dyed concrete bring in the visual language of Miami’s architecture and neighborhoods. Together, these elements create a retail environment that feels less like a traditional store and more like a physical expression of Miami.
